Hi Blasters cricket parents.
A big welcome to new and returning Blaster cricket families. As the new Blaster Cricket Coordinator at Claremont-Nedlands Cricket Club (CNCC), I look forward to welcoming you to the upcoming season.
For Junior Blasters (girls and boys aged 5-7) we will teach the skills to play cricket through fun game based activities. Master Blasters (girls and boys aged 7-10) will play modified games of cricket in a fun and social setting.CNCC will provide all cricket equipment at the Blasters’ sessions.
Junior Blasters and Master Blasters will be held on Sunday mornings at CNCC’s home ground at Cresswell Park, Swanbourne. Junior Blasters will run from 9-10am and Master Blasters will run from 9-10.30am. Blasters will start on Sunday 1 November, and continue on 8 November, 15 November, 22 November, 29 November, and 6 December 2020 before breaking for the Christmas holidays. Blasters will resume on Sunday 31 January, and continue on 7 February, 14 February, 21 February, 7 March and finish the season on 14 March 2021.
At our fun-filled Sunday morning sessions I will be assisted by several CNCC Premier players, as well as Leah Morrison (ex WACA) who is helping to coach the girls at our club. We will also be keen for as much support as possible from parents, guardians, grandparents and siblings – no prior cricket experience is required!
Other dates for your calendar:
- Sunday 20 September 2020 (2-4pm) – “Come and try” cricket day at Cresswell Park. For girls and boys aged 5-12 years who are thinking of playing cricket for the first time (or who just want to come down and have some fun).
- Monday 26 October 2020 (6pm) – Blasters information session for parents at Cresswell Park.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or queries.
