The Western Australian Cricket Association manages junior cricket in the Perth Metropolitan area through the Community Junior Cricket Council (CJCC).
CNCC fields Community Cricket teams for boys from U10s to U16s/17s, and for girls in the U11s and U13s age groups.
Community Cricket is a fun way for boys and girls to play cricket with their friends.
Usually, volunteer parents will coach and manage the teams, with CNCC arranging for coaches to undertake free of charge the 3 hour Level 1 Coaching course to assist them with coaching the team in a fun and engaging way. CNCC’s coaching staff also provides assistance to our Community coaches and players.
The age group cut off date for teams is 30 June - so, to play Under 10s for example, the player must be 9 years of age on 30 June for the upcoming season.
The individual age group rules for Community Cricket can be found at the CJCC website here: http://cjcc.wa.cricket.com.au/
Click on the "Competition" tab at the top of the webpage, and then on "Individual Age Group Rules" in the dropdown, and then on the relevant age group rules for boys (under "Boys and Mixed Cricket Rules - All Ages") or girls (under "Perth Scorchers Girls League Rules - All Ages").
The CJCC website also contains details of CJCC Policies and Procedures that apply to Community Cricket.
